Week 1: Reset Your Routine
Fall brings cooler temperatures, changing schedules, and a fresh opportunity to focus on your health. Over the next four weeks, the TBS Team will help you reset your routine, improve your nutrition, build strength, and create healthy habits that can carry you through the holidays.
The goal is not perfection. It is steady, realistic progress that helps you feel seen, supported, and stronger.
How to Use This Four-Week Reset
- Read one post at the beginning of each week.
- Choose the weekly challenge as your primary focus.
- Use the reflection prompts to make the advice fit your life.
- If a week goes off track, resume at the next available opportunity.
Progress grows from the choices you can repeat, not from one perfect day.
October Is a Natural Time to Reset
Summer travel has ended, school schedules are settling in, and the holidays are still a few weeks away. If exercise has fallen to the bottom of your list, this is your opportunity to begin again.
You do not need to make up for missed workouts or immediately return to your old fitness level. Start by creating a routine that works with your current responsibilities.
Set a Realistic October Goal
Choose one clear goal you can measure. A smaller goal you consistently complete is more valuable than an ambitious plan you abandon after one week.
- Complete three workouts each week.
- Attend one group class every Saturday.
- Strength train twice and walk twice each week.
- Exercise for at least 20 minutes on busy days.
- Prepare your gym bag before going to bed.
Schedule Your Workouts
Look at your calendar and identify two or three dependable workout windows. Treat those times like appointments. Then create a backup plan. If you miss your regular workout, could you train later, complete a shorter session, take a walk, or use an online workout?
Start Where You Are
Your first few workouts should leave you feeling successful, not defeated. Use manageable weights, focus on good form, and give your body time to readjust. The best training option is the one you can repeat.
This Week's Challenge
Put three movement sessions on your calendar and complete at least two.
- My October goal: __________
- My workout times: __________
- My backup plan: __________
No tricks are required for this fall reset—just a plan you can keep showing up for.
