Ingredients

What you’ll need

  • 6 tablespoons tomato ketchup, divided
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ onion, minced
  • 1.3 lb (600 g) lean ground turkey
  • 1.8 oz (50 g) breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a loaf pan with baking paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of the ketchup with the Worcestershire sauce.
  3. In a small pot over low heat, add the olive oil and cook the onion for 3–5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey, cooked onion, breadcrumbs, egg, remaining 4 tablespoons of ketchup, salt, and oregano.
  5. Place the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and spoon the sauce on top.
  6. Bake for 55–60 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
