Week 4: Commit
By Week 4, the excitement of beginning may have faded. That makes this the most important week.
Motivation changes from day to day. A dependable routine gives you something to follow when motivation is low.
Review the Previous Three Weeks
- Which workout times were easiest to protect?
- Which sessions did you enjoy most?
- What caused you to miss a planned workout?
- Did you prefer personal, group, open-gym, or online training?
- What could make next month easier?
- What kind of support would help you stay accountable?
Now choose your routine for the next four to six weeks. Make it specific.
I will complete group training on Tuesday and Thursday and use the open gym on Saturday morning.
That is more useful than simply saying, “I need to work out more.”
Week 4 Challenge
Complete three workouts and commit to your next month of training before the week ends.
Make Your Next-Month Commitment
- I will train on: __________
- My primary training option will be: __________
- When plans change, my backup will be: __________
Why a TBS Challenge Can Help
Sometimes a personal goal is enough. Other times, a structured challenge provides the extra direction and accountability needed to keep going.
TBS hosts challenges designed to turn a short-term commitment into sustainable habits. Its six-week Transformation Challenge addresses four major areas - exercise, nutrition, supplementation, and accountability - with coaching, resources, and a goal of completing at least three workouts each week. It can be completed at TBS, remotely, or through a combination of both.
For people who prefer an event-based goal, TBS also offers a four-week 5K preparation program and has hosted community events such as the Hustle in the Heat 5K. A finish line, challenge calendar, or shared goal can make training feel more purposeful.
A challenge gives you:
- A clear starting point and defined time frame
- Workouts with a purpose
- Coaching and accountability
- A community working alongside you
- A reason to keep showing up on difficult days
Ask the TBS Team which challenges are currently open and which option best matches your schedule and experience.
Progress, Not Perfection
During the school year, something will eventually disrupt your plan. A child will stay home sick. Practice will run late. Work will become demanding. You will feel tired.
That does not mean your routine has failed. Missing one workout is a scheduling problem. Giving up because you missed one workout turns it into a pattern. Adjust the week, use your backup option, and return at the next opportunity.
You do not have to restart on Monday. You can restart at the next available hour.
At TBS, training is built around your goals, schedule, experience, and equipment. Come as you are. Start with the week you have. Keep showing up.
